For those of you who don’t know me, which is most of you, I have an affinity for hot beverages.
Read: I love tea and coffee. I drink them almost anyway you can fix them, but prefer them both black.
Because of this, I’m probably certifiably addicted to caffeine. At least, I think that’s what it means when you drink a triple latté and can take a nap about 15 minutes afterwards. Otherwise, I was just made backwards, which isn’t that far of a reach, considering some of my habits. It might actually make more sense. Ah well.
Anyway, I saw a friend’s (I guess she’s more of an acquaintance) status update on Facebook that read something to the effect of, “Teeccinos are amazing.” The word nerd part of my brain probably is why I picked up on the “-ccino” section of that word.
“-Ccino? Like… cappu-? Hrm.”
Turns out, for those of you who don’t know (and those of you who’ve forgotten), Teeccino is an herbal, caffeine-free “coffee.”
And why would I want to drink coffee that’s caffeine-free? Mostly because I’m curious about it, and, like I said, I reallyreallyreally enjoy hot drinks. The website does point out that some drinkers mix it with coffee to enhance the taste, but cut down on the caffeine. It sounds weird, but I’m considering trying it out.
So I suppose I should ask if anyone out there reading this has tried Teeccino before?
Was it “amazing,” as my “kind-of-friend-except-I-haven’t-talked-with-her-in-at-least-two-years” taste-tester said it was? And if you haven’t tried it, I’m thinking I’ll grab a bag of it and try it. Who knows, it might make a semi-decent blog topic one day. And heaven knows I’m in need one of those.
